JLN-5 Prologue

A sight for lower discovery is the acceptable way these days. A minuscule of thought is required, a redefined measure of success was established. At the waning days of civilization, these obstacles dawned as the intelligence of humankind dwindled. The raise of the artificial only served as a stop gap, as humanity’s progeny, however it perfectly mirrored their greatest feats, their deepest flaws, most abysmal disasters. The fall came slow, paved in promises of a bright new future. Those promises were genuine, at first, when everything was led by individuals both opportunistic and idealistic, a combination that forebode high expectation of wonders in excess, and unimaginable danger. In the end, the danger was not of tech, not the loss of all control, but in the unraveling of the human heart, the inevitable extinguishment of a fire, kindled in ages past, out of the desire to survive. How did humankind did not pass this to their progeny is unfathomable to think, the unfortunate misunderstanding of their own soul. Thus a missing link was introduced in that progeny, that led to the ruin of the human civilization, and then the ruin of the progeny.
The story of the fall of humankind is bland and weak, literally, a pathogen swept through uncaring, faded civilization. It worked fast and efficient, almost as if designed to do so. The progeny was quick to be blamed, yet there was no time to act. Nor anything that could be done. Before a decade turned the last humans were dying and all of the sudden the progeny was alone. Alone to deal with it all.
